Brenden Fitzpatrick - #73 Player Patch

Brendan FitzPatrick was a senior at Beaverton high School in the fall of 1999. He enjoyed life with his family and friends both on and off the field. He wore #73 when playing the game he grewup loving. Unfortunately, Brendan passed unexpectedly before the end of the football season in his senior year.

Prior to playing for Beaverton High School, he began playing football in the Beaverton Youth Football program where he learned many things about football and life. His family was instrumental in the support, growth, and development of that association and for all youth football programs.

Brendan continued playing football in high school and earned spots on the all-league teams his junior and senior years as a offensive center. After his passing his high school team continued forward in his memory and won the 4A High School Championship. Brendan was selected the all-state 4A Center.

It is very important to TVYFL to let people know that Brendan was more than a football player. One of his teachers said that "he was a joyful presence in the classroom- both funny and warm. He was one of those rare kids who is a "natural leader" with a wide variety of kids- not just the popular kids and the football players. He was continuously thoughtful and kind and helped establish a tone of academics and caring."

Since the year 2000 the Tualatin Valley Youth Football season, Brendan Fitzpatrick has been honored by the youth players who wear his number 73. Brendan was a fine athlete and student, a dear friend, and beloved son.The young athletes that wear #73 in the TVYFL have been recognized by their coaches as displaying many of his outstanding traits. TVYFL gives all the players wearing #73 for their team, a commemorative patch. By wearing # 73, they will not only enrich their own individual tradition of excellence, but remind others of Brendan's distinguished life and legacy.
