Tualatin Valley Youth Football Families,
It is with much regret we inform you that Tualatin Valley Youth Football will not host a youth tackle season this fall. We held a Google meeting this Sunday, August 9th, after being informed of the OSAA decision to suspend regularly scheduled events and move forward with a structurally revised sports season. We determined that hosting a season as we have been planning is just not possible.
With the countless reasons we are prevented from starting this season: player health concerns related to COVID-19, insurance and liability concerns, safety equipment and field use issues, inability to have spectators, as well as the ever-changing State and local health guidelines there are too many unknowns at this time to proceed with planning a fall season.
In the near future, we will be sending out the process for refunds. We will also be sending out questionnaires regarding future plans we are working on to potentially host activities this spring (mirroring OSAA).
We are so disappointed that the kids are losing out on this opportunity to be on a team this fall, learning life lessons all while being physically active. As always, Tualatin Valley Youth Football League is dedicated to the physical and mental development and well-being of our youth athletes. We hope you understand the reasoning behind our decision. It did not come easy.
